Apollo 13: Mission Change

Apollo 13 was the seventh manned ship sent to the Moon. While only lasting 5 Days, 22 hours, and 54 min, it was a very intense ride. After doing a TV broadcast to be sent back to Earth, the trouble really began. Just a short nine minutes after the video, oxygen tank no. 2 blew up causing oxygen tank no. 1 to go as well. Their mission objective changed from landing on the Moon to getting home safe and alive. All of their most essential stuff--their sources of electricity, light, and water--was lost, and they were about 200,000 miles from Earth. It is said that this mission cost us close to $4.4 billion dollars.
